Note on data transfer to the USA
Our website includes tools from companies based in the USA, among others. If these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to the US servers of the respective companies. We would like to point out that the USA is not a safe third country within the meaning of EU data protection law. US companies are obliged to release personal data to security authorities without you, as a data subject, being able to take legal action against this.
It can therefore not be ruled out that US authorities (e.g. intelligence services) process, evaluate and permanently store your data located on US servers for surveillance purposes. We have no influence on these processing activities.
Revocation of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke consent you have already given at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out up to the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct advertising (Art. 21 GDPR)
IF DATA PROCESSING IS BASED ON ART. 6 PARA. 1 LIT. E OR F GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT AT ANY TIME TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU LODGE AN OBJECTION, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR AFFECTED PERSONAL DATA UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ASSERTION, EXERCISE OR DEFENCE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21 PARA. 1 GDPR).
IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT ADVERTISING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR AFFECTED PERSONAL DATA FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH ADVERTISING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING TO THE EXTENT THAT IT IS RELATED TO SUCH DIRECT ADVERTISING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT ADVERTISING (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21 PARA. 2 GDPR).
Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of their habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged violation. The right to lodge a complaint exists without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.
Right to data portability
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done to the extent that it is technically feasible.
SSL or TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Information, deletion and correction
Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to correction or deletion of this data. For this purpose and for further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. To do this, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:
- If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
- If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
- If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.
- If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may – apart from being stored – only be processed with your consent or for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of an important public interest of the European Union or a member state.
Objection to advertising emails
The use of contact data published within the framework of the legal notice obligation to send advertising and information material not expressly requested is hereby objected to. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example through spam emails.
4. Data collection on this website
Cookies
Our web pages use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small text files and do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or your web browser deletes them automatically.
In some cases, cookies from third-party companies may also be stored on your device when you enter our site (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain services of the third-party company (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).
Cookies have various functions. Numerous cookies are technically necessary because certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies are used to evaluate user behaviour or to display advertising. Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process (necessary cookies) or to provide certain functions you have requested (functional cookies, e.g. for the shopping cart function) or to optimise the website (e.g. cookies for measuring the web audience) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies has been requested, the cookies in question are stored exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR); consent can be revoked at any time.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.
Insofar as cookies from third-party companies or for analysis purposes are used, we will inform you about this within the framework of this privacy policy and, if necessary, request consent.

Contact form
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.
This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR if your request is related to the fulfilment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if this has been requested.
The data you enter in the contact form remains with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
Enquiry by email, phone or fax
If you contact us by email, phone or fax, your enquiry including all resulting personal data (name, enquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We will not pass on this data without your consent.
This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR if your request is related to the fulfilment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. Facebook plugins (Like & Share button)
Plugins of the social network Facebook are integrated on this website. The provider of this service is Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. However, according to Facebook, the data collected is also transferred to the USA and other third countries.
You can recognise the Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or the "Like button" ("Gefällt mir") on this website. An overview of the Facebook plugins can be found here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/?locale=de_DE.

Facebook thereby receives the information that you have visited this website with your IP address. If you click the Facebook "Like button" while logged into your Facebook account, you can link the content of this website to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to assign the visit to this website to your user account. We would like to point out that we, as the provider of the pages, have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Facebook. Further information can be found in Facebook's privacy policy at: https://de-de.facebook.com/privacy/explanation.
If you do not want Facebook to be able to associate your visit to this website with your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account.
The use of the Facebook plugins is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the widest possible visibility in social media. If consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; consent can be revoked at any time.
Insofar as personal data is collected on our website with the tool described here and forwarded to Facebook, we and the Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland are jointly responsible for this data processing (Art. 26 GDPR). The joint responsibility is limited exclusively to the collection of the data and its transfer to Facebook. The processing carried out by Facebook after the forwarding is not part of the joint responsibility. The obligations incumbent on us jointly have been recorded in an agreement on joint processing. The text of the agreement can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum. According to this agreement, we are responsible for providing the privacy information when using the Facebook tool and for the data protection-compliant implementation of the tool on our website. Facebook is responsible for the data security of Facebook products. Data subject rights (e.g. requests for information) regarding the data processed by Facebook can be asserted directly with Facebook. If you assert the data subject rights with us, we are obliged to forward them to Facebook.
The data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission.

6. Analytics tools and advertising
Use of Matomo
Insofar as you have given your consent, this website uses Matomo (formerly Piwik), an open-source software for the statistical evaluation of visitor accesses. The provider of the Matomo software is InnoCraft Ltd., 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand.
Matomo sets a cookie (a text file) on your device, with which your browser can be recognised. If subpages of our website are accessed, the following information is stored:
- the IP address of the user, shortened by the last two bytes (anonymised)
- the accessed subpage and the time of access
- the page from which the user reached our website (referrer)
- which browser with which plugins, which operating system and which screen resolution is used
- the length of time spent on the website
- the pages accessed from the accessed subpage
Matomo is used for the purpose of improving the quality of our website and its content. In this way, we learn how the website is used and can continuously optimise our offering.
By anonymising the IP address by six digits, we take into account the website visitor's interest in the protection of personal data. The data is not used to personally identify the user of the website and is not merged with other data. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is not passed on to third parties.
Revocation of consent:
You can revoke your consent to the storage and evaluation of your data by Matomo at any time via the link listed below. A so-called opt-out cookie is then stored on your device, which is valid for two years. As a result, Matomo does not collect any session data. Please note, however, that the opt-out cookie is deleted if you delete all cookies.
You have the option of preventing actions you take here from being analysed and linked. This will protect your privacy, but will also prevent the owner from learning from your actions and improving usability for you and other users.
Your visit to this website is currently being recorded by the Matomo web analysis. Untick this checkbox to opt out.
Further information on the privacy settings of the Matomo software can be found at the following link: https://matomo.org/docs/privacy/.
You can also prevent the use of cookies by making an appropriate setting in your browser software; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website in full.
Google Ads
The website operator uses Google Ads. Google Ads is an online advertising programme of Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Ads enables us to display advertisements in the Google search engine or on third-party websites when the user enters certain search terms on Google (keyword targeting). Furthermore, targeted advertisements can be displayed based on the user data available at Google (e.g. location data and interests) (target group targeting). We as the website operator can evaluate this data quantitatively, for example by analysing which search terms led to the display of our advertisements and how many advertisements led to corresponding clicks.
The use of Google Ads is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the most effective marketing of its services and products.
Google AdSense
This website uses Google AdSense, a service for integrating advertisements. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
With the help of Google AdSense, we can have targeted advertisements from third companies displayed on our site. The content of the advertisements is based on your interests, which Google determines on the basis of your previous usage behaviour. In addition, contextual information such as your location, the content of the visited website or the Google search terms you entered are taken into account when selecting the appropriate advertisement.
Google AdSense uses cookies, web beacons (invisible graphics) and comparable recognition technologies. This allows information such as visitor traffic on these pages to be evaluated.
The information collected by Google AdSense about the use of this website (including your IP address) and the delivery of advertising formats are transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. This information may be passed on by Google to Google's contractual partners. However, Google will not merge your IP address with other data stored by you.
The use of AdSense is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the most effective marketing of its website. If consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; consent can be revoked at any time.
Analysis by WiredMinds
Our website uses the pixel counting technology of WiredMinds GmbH (www.wiredminds.de) to analyse visitor behaviour. The IP address of a visitor is processed here. The processing takes place exclusively for the purpose of collecting company-relevant information such as the company name. IP addresses of natural persons are excluded from further use (whitelist procedure). The IP address is never stored in LeadLab. When processing the data, it is our particular interest to uphold the data protection rights of natural persons. Our interest is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. (f) GDPR. The data we collect can never be used to draw conclusions about an identifiable person.
The WiredMinds GmbH uses this information to create anonymous usage profiles relating to visitor behaviour on our website. The data obtained in this way is not used to personally identify visitors to our website.
8. Plugins and tools
YouTube with extended data protection
This website embeds videos from the website YouTube. The operator of the pages is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
We use YouTube in the extended data protection mode. According to YouTube, this mode means that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they view the video. However, the transfer of data to YouTube partners is not necessarily excluded by the extended data protection mode. For example, YouTube establishes a connection to the Google DoubleClick network – regardless of whether you view a video.
As soon as you start a YouTube video on this website, a connection to YouTube's servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
Furthermore, YouTube can store various cookies on your device or use comparable recognition technologies (e.g. device fingerprinting) after starting a video. In this way, YouTube can obtain information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to collect video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent fraud attempts.
If necessary, further data processing operations can be triggered after the start of a YouTube video, over which we have no influence.
YouTube is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offerings. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.
Further information on data protection at YouTube can be found in their privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
Google reCAPTCHA
We use "Google reCAPTCHA" (hereinafter "reCAPTCHA") on this website. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
The purpose of reCAPTCHA is to check whether the data entered on this website (e.g. in a contact form) is done by a human or by an automated programme. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyses the behaviour of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis begins automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, the time spent by the website visitor on the website or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to Google.
The reCAPTCHA analyses run completely in the background. Website visitors are not notified that an analysis is taking place.
The storage and analysis of the data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its web offerings from abusive automated spying and from spam.
Further information on Google reCAPTCHA can be found in Google's privacy policy and terms of use at the following links: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de and https://policies.google.com/terms?hl=de.
Google web fonts
This page uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.
For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Google's servers. Google thereby learns that your IP address was used to access this website. The use of Google web fonts is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
The website operator has a legitimate interest in the uniform presentation of the typeface on its website. If consent has been requested (e.g. consent to the storage of cookies), the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; consent can be revoked at any time.
If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font from your computer will be used.
Further information on Google web fonts can be found at: https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
Google Maps
This page uses the map service Google Maps via an API. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
To use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to store your IP address. This information is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this page has no influence on this data transfer.
Google Maps is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offerings and to make it easy to find the places we have indicated on the website. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; consent can be revoked at any time.
More information on the handling of user data can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

Processing of data (customer and contract data)
We only collect, process and use personal data to the extent that it is necessary for the establishment, content design or modification of the legal relationship (inventory data). This is done on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual measures. We only collect, process and use personal data about the use of this website (usage data) to the extent necessary to enable the user to use the service or to bill for it.
The collected customer data will be deleted after the completion of the order or the end of the business relationship. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Handling of applicant data
We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g. by email or post). In the following, we inform you about the scope, purpose and use of the personal data collected as part of the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing and use of your data is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other legal provisions and that your data is treated in strict confidence.
Scope and purpose of data collection
When you submit an application to us, we process the personal data associated with it (e.g. contact and communication data, application documents, notes from job interviews, etc.) to the extent necessary to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is § 26 BDSG-neu under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (general contract initiation) and – if you have given consent – Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Consent can be revoked at any time. Your personal data is only passed on to persons within our company who are involved in processing your application.
If the application is successful, the data you have submitted will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of § 26 BDSG-neu and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR for the purpose of carrying out the employment relationship.
Retention period of the data
If we are unable to make you a job offer, you reject a job offer or you withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you have transmitted on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) for up to 6 months from the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application). The data will then be deleted and the physical application documents destroyed. The retention serves in particular purposes of proof in the event of a legal dispute. If it is evident that the data will be required after the expiry of the 6-month period (e.g. due to an impending or pending legal dispute), deletion will only take place when the purpose for further retention no longer applies.
A longer retention period may also take place if you have given corresponding consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) or if statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.
Inclusion in the applicant pool
If we do not make you a job offer, there may be the possibility of including you in our applicant pool. In the event of inclusion, all documents and information from the application will be transferred to the applicant pool in order to contact you in the event of suitable vacancies.
Inclusion in the applicant pool takes place exclusively on the basis of your express consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). The giving of consent is voluntary and has no relation to the ongoing application process. The data subject can revoke consent at any time. In this case, the data will be irrevocably deleted from the applicant pool, provided no statutory retention reasons exist.
The data from the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted at the latest two years after consent was given.
